Activities

 

  • Mobilization
  • Check Contractors mobilization
  • Preliminary site investigations and check all documents associated with the project
  • Liaise with Contractor and Employer
  • Verifying survey control
  • Liaise with the respective Regional Authority to ensure compensation within the right of way
  • The site set-up and compound to be used by the contractors,
  • The agreement with the contractors on strict adherence to the construction schedule,
  • Control the  contractor’s  and  sub-contractors’   site  personnel  of  all  grades  for  suitability  of  the construction works,
  • Specify material testing laboratories that will be required by the Contractor during construction,
  • Check materials and equipment  for conformity  with the tender specifications  by physical inspection and by gathering the manufacturer’s  and suppliers’ certificates of conformance
  • Verify the contractor’s purchasing schedules so that materials and equipment necessary  for the swift advancement  of the  works  are  available  when  needed,  thus  ensuring  that  the  work  keeps  to  the established schedule.
  • Check the Contractor established site procedures related to Civil, Pipeline and Electromechanical works
  • Detail construction supervision
  • Monitoring of progress, check and approve the installations that are made by the contractor
  • Verifying of Quality of the used materials and the construction methods
  • Implement design adjustments as agreed with Employer
  • Compile monthly/ quarterly reports
  • Monitor financial/ budget expenditure
  • Measure and certify payment for works complete
  • All required technical training for proper operation and maintenance of the system;
  • TRAINING- Provide On-the-Job Training for designated staff

 

Commissioning Stage

  • Final measurement of the works and the issuing of a final payment certificate for the approval of the
  • Client
  • Testing all elements of the project under strict operating conditions both individually and as a system in order to verify that the project operates under design conditions
  • Gathering all the manufacturers’ suppliers ‘and contractors’ operating and maintenance  manuals and instructions
  • Review the final ‘as-built’ drawings that are prepared by the contractor and approve them before the submission to the Client
  • Modifications to pipe work or equipment
  • Particular attention will be paid to the commissioning of the pumping stations,
  • Finalize and submitting the completion report
