SCOPE OF WORKS

Supervision of Construction of Baura Bridge (70.1 m) along Gubali – Haubi Road in Kondoa District.

Detailed Description of Actual Services Provided:

• Design Review and Construction Supervision of the works contract to ensure that works comply with the approved design, Drawings Specifications, Condition of contracts and Sound Engineering Practices;
• Approval of Contractor’s working Drawings;
• Ensure the Construction works follows Environmental Management Plan (EMP) to be prepared by the Contactor under the supervision of the Engineer. All Environmental impacts mitigation and enhancement measures are fully and timely implemented, monitored, and reported;
• Ensuring the Construction works comply with all safety requirements in particular to protect the safety requirements in particular to protect the workers, road users, and member of the public;
• Ensuring the measurement, certification and payments to the contractor are in compliance with the contract including valuation of any variation orders and settlement of clams;
• Preparation of inception, Monthly, Detailed Progress (at 50% and 80%) and final completion reports and as built drawings of all completed works;
• Preparation of the Project completion report; and
• Supervision of maintenance activities during Defect Liability Period.
